Local Natives plays Red Rocks Amphitheatre in a few hours and all the band can talk about is “Breaking Bad.” It’s mid-September, and Local Natives has been touring as a supporting act for the National.

The band is hanging out at Uneven Studio, recording a few tracks for Reverb’s Mile Marker, and they’ve been catching up on “Breaking Bad” while on the road.

Between theories about Walter White and how the show will end, the guys recorded three tracks for us, which you can download below. Local Natives showcases layered rhythms and spacious, complex harmonies on versions of “Ceilings,” “You & I” and “Columbia.”

Local Natives headlines Denver’s Ogden Theatre on Saturday.
